Wedding Photojournalism

The day is half-fantasy, and half-reality - and you want a photographer who can blend both...

At Artifacts for Life Photography we merge two styles together in our wedding coverage.

A photojournalistic approach strives to show reality as it happens, to bear witness to events without orchestrating them - to create a narrative in pictures.

Traditional styles evoke fantasy - by lighting and posing the wedding couple and their  guests in beautiful, fun, and creative ways.  Portrait posing allows you to make the most of limited time and ensure you have beautiful mementos with key guests.

Kyle believes that a blend of these styles - photojournalistic and traditional - is perfect for creating artistic wedding photography

Rather than being a master of ceremonies staging an event, we approach weddings with a relaxed, subtle, and unpretentious manner - documenting the day with a trained aesthetic eye looking for moments you are too busy to catch.

Artifacts for Life doesn't  just take wedding photos.   If you think about it, your officiant, the caterers, and the DJ are there for part of your wedding -  but your  photographer ties together your entire day.

Kyle can provide advice at the earliest stages of wedding planning - helping you set a realistic timeline for your day, and plan transitions between venues.  A pre-event scouting trip to the wedding and reception locations are also offered at the couple's request.

Most packages include a second photographer to ensure all the important moments are captured. We also provide reception photo booths, save the date, thank you cards, and prints and canvas enlargements.

Wedding coverage including a DVD of high resolution images start at $1799. We cover ceremonies in Guelph, Toronto (GTA),  Kitchener-Waterloo, Orangeville, Hamilton, and other locations by request.  We are also available for destination weddings worldwide.
